Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions provide relevant information about all of Wild Heart Yoga Cambridge (Cambridge Athletica Inc.) (“Wild Heart Yoga”) studio policies. As you review the below, visit our website, or engage in Wild Heart Yoga services and participate in our activities, we ask that you remember that we are a small business and that these policies are set in place to protect you and our business, as well as preserve the inclusive Third Space Community we strive to create at Wild Heart Yoga. Thank you for reviewing and following these – together, we make our space and our community awesome.
1. Love
Every guest, member, teacher, staff, and visitor of Wild Heart Yoga should lead every action within the studio, and when communicating with the studio or its representatives, with love. Whether needing assistance with a membership issue or letting a teacher know how a class affected you, as a part of the Wild Heart Yoga community, you are given love and should reciprocate it in everything you do and say at the studio. To that end, harassment, discrimination, unwelcome or offensive conduct, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated in our spaces. If you experience any of the above, please contact us immediately at info@wildheartyogacambridge.ca with information about the incident so we can address it.
2. Studio Etiquette
Everyone who uses the Wild Heart Yoga studios agrees to:
Consider personal hygiene and fragrance use prior to attending class. Attend all classes with a clean body and attire, especially in heated classes, for everyone’s comfort. Further, refrain from wearing strong perfumes or scents, as many individuals are sensitive to fragrances and we want to ensure all guests feel comfortable at all times.
Remove all footwear once inside the studio building. Wild Heart Yoga is a dedicated barefoot space. In order to keep it clean and safe for all guests, everyone is required to remove outer footwear once they have entered the building. If you are uncomfortable walking around in bare feet, please bring a fresh, never-worn-outside pair of dedicated sandals with you when you come to the studio.
Sign in at the front desk before each class. This makes sure we know who is there, who to still expect, and to properly track your passes and memberships.
Remain downstairs until the Energy Exchanger has finished cleaning between classes to ensure an effective and efficient turnaround of the space and equipment.
Arrive on time for each class and workshop, so that everyone has a nourishing, uninterrupted practice. Students should note that there is no entry to either studio after a class has started. Doors open to Wild Heart Yoga 15 minutes before each class and students are asked to find their spots on their mats at least five minutes before the start of class. Doors the studio will be locked at the start of class. No late attendees will be allowed to participate.
Silence all devices when at the Wild Heart Yoga studio.
Cell phones must be silenced while at the studio. Cell phones may not be used in change rooms or studios. If you are on-call during your practice, you must get permission to bring your cell phone into class with you each time. Any calls or phone use that MUST be completed may only be done before or after class in the lounge.
Smartwatches must be placed on silent, do not disturb, or elevator mode, and all students are asked to refrain from checking these devices while in the studios.
If these requests cannot be adhered to, we will have to make the studio rooms tech-free spaces, including not permitting any watches within the rooms. We promise that whatever it is can wait until your practice is over and you are out of the studio.
Only take a mat, towel, water, and, if they have them, tools for class (such as blocks, straps, and the like) to class. All other personal items, including bags, jackets, cellphone, and keys should be left in the change room. Lockers are available for use in the change room and locks are available from the front desk, if you need them.
Arrive to the studio rooms ready to practice. Students should only enter the studio rooms when they are changed and ready to stay for class to help avoid disruptions to other students' practices.
Maintain silence in each studio before, during, and after practice, unless otherwise stated. To make sure everyone has a nourishing, uninterrupted practice, there is no entry to either studio after a class has started. Doors open to WHY 15 minutes before each class and students are asked to find their spots on their mats at least five minutes before the start of class.
Use showers in the change rooms thoughtfully. Showers are available for student use in each change room. Please keep showers short to preserve water and to be courteous to others who may be waiting to use the facilities. Please also do not shave at the studio. Further, please leave the showers as clean as you found them, taking care to hang bath mats back up, collect all hair, and rinse all soap from shower stalls. Finally, please dry off before exiting the showers, as wet floors in our change rooms are a slip and fall hazard.
Leave the changerooms in the same condition in which you found it. Please clean up after yourself in our change rooms, ensuring all of your personal belongings are tidied, are taken with you when you are finished, and that no garbage or mess is left behind.
Take care of any personal items that are brought into the studio. All items left behind will be put in the lost and found; however, you should retrieve your belongings as soon as possible, as all lost and found items are donated to charity at the end of each month. Unfortunately, Wild Heart Yoga is not responsible for personal items that are donated or have gone missing.
3. Class Policies
Everyone who reserves a spot for a class or attends a class at Wild Heart Yoga studios agrees to:
Complete and sign the Waiver and Release of Liability before attending any class. If your child is attending a workshop or class, the parent or guardian is required to complete and sign the Waiver and Release of Liability on their behalf.
Stay home if you are feeling ill. If you’re feeling unwell, please take care of yourself and respect the other guests at the studio by staying home and not attending class. Your health and recovery are of utmost importance, and we can’t wait to welcome you back once you are well again.
Cancel enrollment if you are unable to attend a class three hours or more before the start of the class. Class spaces are often at a premium and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to attend classes. If you are unable to attend a class, you will need to cancel your enrollment via the booking app at least three hours prior to the start of the class. If you cancel any later than that, or you do not attend the class you are enrolled in you may be subject to a no-show penalty. For those who booked with a pass, you will still be charged a class pass. For those who booked with an unlimited membership, you will be charged a $10 no-show fee via the same payment method on your account. Please note that all enrollment in special workshops or special classes are final sale and if you are unable to attend, no refunds will be processed. No cancellations will be accepted via text or email.
Use and honour the waitlist. If a class is full, students are encouraged to add themselves to the waitlist. By adding yourself to the waitlist, you are responsible for monitoring notifications, whether via the app or email, if a spot opens up. This can happen up to three hours before the class is due to start. Please note that the three-hour cancellation policy above is still in effect. If you cannot make the class you are waitlisted for, please remove yourself from the waitlist three hours prior to the start of the class to respect the other waitlisted students and to avoid any potential penalties.
Arrive at the studio between five and fifteen minutes prior the start of class. The doors to the studio will be open a minimum of fifteen minutes before the start of class and all students should have found a place to practice inside the studio room at least five minutes before the start of class. The doors to the studio will be locked at the beginning of class and no late attendees will be admitted into the class. If you arrive late and are unable to be admitted into the class, the cancellation policy of above will apply.
Listen to and honour what your body needs in each class, movement, and moment. What your body needs and how it moves will change day-to-day, class-to-class, and sometimes, moment-to-moment. As a student of yoga and movement, we ask that you listen to what your body needs and take it. Child’s pose or savasana, or corpse pose (which we start and end each yoga class with), can be taken at any time if you need it. You can even stay in one of these restorative poses for the entire class if that is what you need. No judgement. Just love.
Class offerings and schedules may change at any time. While every effort will be made by Wild Heart Yoga to honour the posted schedule, unforeseen circumstances may arise from time to time that will cause a class or workshop to be cancelled, potentially soon before the start of the event. In the case of a regularly scheduled class cancellation, pass holders will not be charged with a use on their pass. Further, guests who purchased a drop-in pass to that particular class will be refunded via the same payment method used to book the class. For special events that require every guest to purchase a spot to attend, refunds will be issued to every guest via the same payment method that was used to book the spot in the event.
4. Purchase Policies
When purchasing a pass, membership, ticket or spot to an event or workshop at Wild Heart Yoga, you agree to:
Pay for the event you will be attending online or in person prior to the start of the event. Bookings via our app will prompt you to complete your payment online prior to reserving your spot. If you would like to pay in person, you will also need to register in person. For regularly scheduled classes, please arrive at least fifteen minutes before the class to pay for your spot. For special events or workshops, please visit the studio during its open hours (fifteen minutes prior and after each regularly scheduled class) to complete registration and payment.
Accept that a purchased membership or pass does not guarantee you access to all classes. From time to time, classes will fill up and not everyone who would like to attend the class will be able to, as all classes are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis. Additionally, some workshops and events will require a separate fee to reserve a spot, above and beyond your membership or pass fees.
Review the expiry dates on class passes purchased. Class passes all include expiry dates, which are based on the number of passes purchased. It is your responsibility to review the terms of the class pass you are purchasing prior to completing purchase. All class pass sales are final and no refunds will be provided.
Acknowledge that recurring memberships will auto-renew at the renewal date. If you would like to terminate your membership prior to the renewal date, please follow the instructions below.
Understand that gift card purchases are final and cannot be exchanged for their cash value. While we can’t provide a refund for gift card purchases, we are more than happy to transfer the gift card to another member or guest of the studio.
Terminate recurring memberships via email. Recurring memberships cannot be terminated in the booking app, by text, verbal request, or a note left for a teacher at the front desk. If you would like to terminate your recurring membership, you must do so via email to info@wildheartyogacambridge.ca. Please note that all terminations require 30-days’ notice. If your recurring membership is scheduled to be charged during the termination period, your membership will remain active until 30 days after the payment date, not the date of the termination request, ensuring that you are able to use your membership for the full time that you have paid for it.
5. Privacy
All guests of Wild Heart Yoga and their personal data have rights to privacy, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using our services and attending our classes, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
6. Right to Refuse Service
Wild Heart Yoga has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
