Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. All passes and memberships purchased prior to the rebranding of the studio will be honoured and are still registered with Mindbody, the scheduling and passes management system used by the previous studio and assumed directly by Wild Heart Yoga. If you have any issues with your passes, please email us at info@wildheartyogacambridge.ca and we will get you sorted out.

  • Our hot room is heated up to 40 degrees Celsius, with about 40% humidity. Other factors, such as the weather conditions outside and the number of students in a class, can all have an effect on the actual temperature in the room. The first time you enter the hot room, it will feel very warm, however, after a few classes, your body will acclimatize and you will know exactly what to expect. All classes include breaks for water as needed and the option for modifications to postures and taking savasana (lying down on the mat to rest) at any time.

  • If you haven’t practiced hot yoga before, we would recommend discussing doing so with your healthcare provider to ensure that it is safe for your body. Specifically, if you are pregnant or have other health concerns, making sure that your body can handle the heated studio environment safely while exercising if of utmost importance. For our pregnant yogis, please check out this article for more information: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3994790/

  • While all of our classes are suited for any level of yogi, from beginner to experienced, we would recommend the following to someone just starting their yoga practice: The Roots Series, Foundation Flow, and Yin.

  • For all our classes we would recommend wearing comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. If you are in our hot room, you will sweat a lot, so wear something lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking, if possible. Shorts or leggings, a tee-shirt or a tank top are all great options.

  • We ask all visitors to the studio to remove their outside footwear as it is a dedicated barefoot space and we want to keep it safe and clean for all of our guests. If you are uncomfortable with walking around in bare feet, we ask that you please bring a fresh, clean, never-worn-outside pair of dedicated sandals with you when you come to the studio.

  • For yoga, please bring a mat and water. If you forget your mat, we rent them for a small fee. Additionally, you might want to bring a mat towel and/or a towel to wipe down, especially in the hot room. we have filtered water in the studio, so bring your own bottle and you can fill it up before class.

After class, we have showers for you to use, so feel free to bring anything you would need for that, including a shower towel, toiletries, and a change of clothes.

Additionally, if you forget anything, we have mats, mat towels, and shower towels for rent for a small fee.

  • Class length varies depending on the type of class, but generally, classes can last 45, 60, 75, and 90 minutes long. Each class in the schedule will state how long the class runs for, so make sure you check when booking.

  • All classes start promptly at their scheduled time and it takes time for people to come in, be checked in, drop of any stuff in our change rooms, and find a spot for their mat in the room. As such, we ask that people arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start of their class. The studio is open at least 15 minutes before the start of each class.

  • There are lots of options for parking downtown within a five minute walk from the studio, including (see map):

7 Dickson Street (parking lot behind the studio)
40 Dickson Street (parking lot near the Market and Civic Square)
15 Lutz Street (parking lot behind the bus station)

  • We understand that stuff and life can get in the way of our best-laid plans, however, to ensure the best experience for all students, we are unable to admit latecomers.

  • Due to the popularity of our classes, especially those that are waitlisted, if you can’t attend a class you have enrolled in, you must cancel your enrolment on the Mindbody app up to 3 hours before the beginning of class. If you need to cancel any later than that, or you do not attend the class you are enrolled in, you will be charged a $10 no-show fee via the same payment method on your account.
